Alice Kelly is currently taking on a 3 month placement with the operations and HR team in Chef & Brewer. She began her journey with Greene King at the King’s Horse as a Team Player and quickly progressed to Team Leader after successful completion of the ‘Rising Star’ programme within Hungry Horse.
Fast track to now, Alice has begun an undergraduate degree at Liverpool John Moores University studying Human Resource Management, whilst also working part-time at the Seahorse as a Team Leader.
Alice came about the opportunity of a summer placement with Chef & Brewer after being recognised as a ‘Rising Star’ and is a shining example of people with a ‘can do’ attitude and passion for hospitality within Greene King.
The Rising Star programme is Greene King’s way of recognising achievement within the company – so those wishing to progress internally will be invited to the Rising Star day once nominated by their General Manager or Business Development Manager.
Rising Stars is an engaging and fun way to learn more about Greene King, our internal career path and the steps you can take to build a career at Greene King. Everyone leaves with a development plan and feedback on what steps we recommend to advance within the company.
Alice says “If you are someone who wants to progress quickly up the career ladder within the hospitality industry, Greene King is the company for you! I have had so many opportunities with them over the years, I would truly recommend Greene King as a great place to work!”
